How it works
Based on an innovative cloud technology, Xalt securely connects to your corporate data center with no impact to your existing system. You control both content and user permissions and can easily monitor activity from an online control panel. The amazingly fast performance allows authorized users to view real-time data from anywhere in the world, even using 3G wireless connections.
SecurityWith Xalt | Mobility, data is encrypted end-to-end and is never replicated or stored in the cloud, on mobile devices — or anywhere outside of your data center. Users do not have access to your internal system, and managing their privileges is simple. Access to your system is controlled by the Xalt API Gateway, which is deployed in your data center. Authentication can be passed through to almost any existing security service, including popular directory services such as Microsoft Active Directory, ApacheDS, Novell eDirectory.

CompatibilityXalt | Mobility can connect directly to all major databases includingMicrosoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, MySQL and more. It can also connect to application layers such as web services and SOA architectures. Each pre-built connector is configured specifically for the system it accesses for maximum performance and security. You can add custom connectors that are specialized to your exact needs. Applications can seamlessly navigate through multiple connectors, both pre-built and custom.

Satellite Server
Xalt | Mobility utilizes a hybrid cloud computing model that helps achieve maximum flexibility and ease of deployment without compromising security and control. Data is transferred between the end user and the enterprise system using Xalt API Gateway that is installed inside of the company's data center. Multiple layers of security authenticate and verify every connection between the Xalt cloud and the company's API Gateway. The Xalt API Gateway software can be installed on most Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
Point and ShareXalt | Mobility turns your enterprise system into a catalog of available data and business processes. Once connected, you can simply point to the data and share it with your users via an online control panel. You can design the user experience based on the form factor of their device, such as phone, tablet or desktop.
The point and share approach allows you to maintain complete control over what each user can see and do without having to worry about the type of device. The application that the users download from their application store is controlled remotely by the designs you build with the online control panel. As you can see by the video example, once you connect to a data source you can create real native mobile applications in a matter of minutes. |

Patent Pending Technology
The Xalt cloud service is based on Xalt Dual Model Architecture. Traditionally, enterprise architectures have had difficulty bridging the gap between the way data is stored and how users need to view it. The divide is especially problematic when a new mobile application — requiring a new user experience — must be developed over an existing data model. Xalt Dual Model Architecture solves this issue.
By separating the business process from the user interface, each can be optimized for maximum performance. The application engine coordinates the data, business process and UI to yield a seamless user experience. Solution design is reduced to three straightforward steps:
This technology presents an exciting, new opportunity for companies that recognize the need to go mobile. Until recently, mobile applications have been built by either writing server and device code for each platform, or by using a development tool to produce native code for multiple platforms. With the Xalt Dual Model Architecture, mobile applications are created with a point-and-share approach that dramatically reduces complexity, project size and risk.
